Case Study

Build: Maintenance Build for Complex Facilities

Case Studies

Our client is establishing a significant LNG development comprising a central processing facility, a floating production storage and offloading facility, a subsea gas pipeline, as well as an onshore processing facility. Maintaining such a development will be enormously challenging.

Advisian Digital Enterprise was engaged to develop and implement an efficient maintenance build that would ensure the asset’s integrity and reliability over the 40-year lifespan of the facilities.

Outcome

With our extensive experience in asset maintenance, we delivered a low-cost and effective maintenance program, leveraging highly automated processes driven by data reuse and complex computer algorithms.

  • We reviewed 700,000 data tags to ensure accuracy and completeness, and populated the equipment master data to align with SAP and project management master data requirements.
  • We provided staging areas for asset master data authoring, structuring and validating prior to delivering it into the EAM system, giving the client increased confidence in the overall final outcome.
  • We implemented an integrity management program to review the link between assets, tags, and documents for operations.
  • We created SPIR details and linked them to the fixed asset register.
  • We established a cloud-based EAM authoring solution that will capture all the master data requirements.

Client Benefits

Even minor improvements in maintenance performance can have significant impacts on financial results.  We’re committed to delivering our client an effective mechanism that can improve asset productivity and mitigate operational risks, through the effective validation and optimization of maintenance data integrity.  As a result, our client will benefit from:

  • Accurate and reliable OEM information
  • Cost-effective inventory management
  • Improved HSE performance
  • Significantly improved asset integrity
