WorleyParsons, the parent company of Advisian Digital have signed a binding term sheet with Aurora Labs 3D. Aurora Labs 3D develop a range of 3D metal printers that “are affordable enough for university labs, prototyping workshops, dental practices, bureau printers or the garage of the designers of the next disruptive technology.”

“We are extremely pleased that since working with WorleyParsons in January, our collaboration has now resulted in a clearly defined arrangement,” said David Budge, Managing Director and Interim Chairman of Aurora Labs. “This is a validation of the impact 3D printing will have, and of the technology we are developing. We look forward to our continued venture to drive Aurora’s products forward.”

The focus of the agreement is:

License and Distribution

A non-exclusive license and distribution agreement where Aurora’s 3D metal printing machines and consumables (the Products) will be sold and distributed by WorleyParsons.

Design and Certification – ‘Solution Centre’

The establishment of a business for the development of designs that can be purchased and used for Aurora Labs 3D Printers (the Solution Centre). The designs created in the Solution Centre will be hosted or form part of a broader online designs catalogue to be developed by Aurora.

Print Bureau

The potential establishment of a printing bureau whereby designs are printed for third parties using Aurora’s machines, whether from the Solution Centre or online catalogue of designs or from client supplied designs.

Powder Production

Opportunities to create a market for bulk and specialty powders to be used by Aurora’s machines will also be explored. David Budge, Managing Director and Interim Chairman of Aurora, commented: “We are extremely pleased that since working with WorleyParsons in January, our collaboration has now resulted in a clearly defined arrangement. This is a validation of the impact 3D printing will have, and of the technology we are developing. We look forward to our continued venture to drive Aurora’s products forward”.

Video demonstrations of Aurora 3D Labs technology is available on the Aurora website.
